    Diablo 4 introduces a host of franchise-first features, including one of the largest maps to date. While the series has always had unique settings to explore, this version of Shelter takes it to a whole different level. Players will traverse towering mountains, explore sprawling cities, conquer forests, and traverse vast deserts in an attempt to defeat Lilith’s army. This all sounds good, but exploring the world of Diablo 4 isn’t. Players can prepare enough Diablo IV Gold in the game.

    While veteran players who played Season of Vicious content won’t really experience any navigation issues, newer Diablo IV players are forced to slowly move around the world. The game doesn’t let them unlock the mount until near the end of the main narrative, which seems like an odd choice. Blizzard has built a very unique and exciting world for players to explore, but it should have let them take the reins of the horse much earlier.

    Diablo 4’s horses should be coming sooner
    The Diablo 4 version of Sanctuary is divided into five distinct areas that are fun to explore. Each region is very different from the last and brings so much life to this world. It’s roughly 10 to 20 times larger than any previous Diablo game, and thanks to level scaling, players can travel through the entire game at once. It’s one of the best aspects of an ARPG, but its size can also make crossing feel a bit sluggish.

    Diablo 4’s main campaign often sends players walking across the game world, but they can only do so on foot. Fast travel is not possible until the player discovers a nearby waypoint, and the mount cannot be accessed until the quest “Donan’s Favor” is completed. This quest doesn’t unlock until the player starts the fourth act of the story, which feels a bit too late.

    Players estimate that it will take about 10 hours to complete the first three acts of Diablo 4, meaning they are forced to walk across the world for 10 hours. While the world is impressive, walking around it for that long can get pretty boring. Things get worse as players are often sent to the farthest corners of the world just to continue the story. They must battle hordes of demons, find the right path through various areas, and may encounter multiple obstacles along the way.

    Exploring the world of Diablo 4 will be fun, but players should be able to do as much as they want. The first few quests can be done on foot, but then the player needs to be given a horse. Those who want to game on foot can do so, and those who want to gallop city streets should be allowed to do so, too. While the mounts will be available to characters in Season of Viciousness from the start, new players should be allowed to use them very quickly in the story.

    Like World of Warcraft’s flight, Blizzard seems keen to give Diablo 4 players a taste of the world it created. It’s an impressive world, and part of Diablo IV’s charm, but no one should be forced to traverse it in a way they don’t want to. Removing player options will just make some players not want to check it out in the first place, and may make others resent the world after spending a few hours with it.
