    Many companies have made the switch to using IT managed services when they first begin a project. For some, this seems like an easy choice as they already use IT on a daily basis. But is it really? When you are working on your company’s budget it may seem like the expense is justified since you will only be hiring professionals once your project is funded.

    The timeline and scope of your project determine the extent and use of managed services versus IT managed services. The challenges which are typically resolved through professional managed services and IT managed services are very similar. But the actual uses and requirements for these services vary greatly. In general, IT-managed service providers handle everything from the IT side of things down to the human resources management side of things. Therefore the scope of work usually does not restrict itself to just one aspect of the project.

    While this may sound ideal, most companies do not see the need to invest in managed services unless they have a very specific need or desire to manage that aspect of the project. For instance, say you have a business process that requires human resources management. You may want a service provider who can handle interviews, hiring, training, paying, benefits, and workers’ compensation on top of payroll administration. Some managed services companies only provide part of these functions while others offer all of these functions.

    When you are choosing what is the difference between managed service and IT managed service providers, it is important to remember the difference between what is required in the early stages of the project and what is required when the project is finished. This is where professional service providers are different than traditional project management services or IROs. Professional services do not require that the projects be done as quickly as possible. They are aware of how long some projects may take and will make arrangements to have the project completed in the time frame specified by the client. In contrast, an IRO or an IT manager will focus heavily on speed and completion date and will try to get as much work completed as quickly as possible.

    Another way to look at the question of what is the difference between professional services and IT managed service providers is to consider what type of activities is involved in each type. Some types of activities will be included in all types of services while other types of activities may be required only with some types of services. For example, some IT-managed service providers will act as project managers while other IT professionals will only do certain tasks involved in the management of the project. In addition, some IT professionals will manage certain aspects of the project while other professionals will only do certain tasks. This is why it is important to understand which types of activities are required for which types of services in order to ensure the best result possible for any project.

    The difference between IT managed services and IRO managed service providers is a simple one. The IRO provider offers a full range of activities including, but not limited to, planning, organizing, managing, and controlling a project. While the IT professional offers a set of specific skills such as software design, testing, integration, implementation, and database configuration. The difference between these two providers is the breadth or depth of the tasks and the extent to which they offer a comprehensive solution to any project. In most cases, it is impossible to complete a project successfully if it is not done properly and with flexibility.
